Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to log in to PhoneHQ with credentials from third-party providers like Google, Microsoft, or Apple. Here’s how it works:
Your PhoneHQ account needs to be connected to the specific SSO provider (your Google, Microsoft or Apple account). This linking is usually done during the initial setup of your PhoneHQ account, but can also be default, if your company onboarded your account using Google Workspace integration.
On the login screen, instead of entering an email and password, select the SSO provider’s icon (Google, Microsoft, or Apple).
The system redirects you to the provider’s authentication page.
Enter your SSO account credentials (email/password or biometric methods if enabled).
Upon successful verification by the SSO provider, you are redirected back to PhoneHQ, logged into your account.
Once logged in, SSO may use tokens to keep your session active. You may need to reauthenticate periodically, depending on the provider’s security policies.
Simplifies login with fewer passwords to remember.
Inherits the advanced security protocols of the SSO provider (e.g., two-factor authentication, biometric security).
Your PhoneHQ account is correctly linked to the chosen provider.
The credentials entered for the SSO provider are accurate.
For detailed troubleshooting, visit the support pages of your chosen provider:
1. Can I use SSO and email/password login interchangeably?
Only if both methods are enabled and configured for your account.
2. What if I change my Google/Microsoft/Apple password?
SSO will continue to work. You’ll just need to use the updated credentials next time you log in.
3. Is SSO login available on both web and mobile?
Yes. The SSO option works consistently across the PhoneHQ Web Portal and Mobile App.
4. Do I need to log in every day with SSO?
Not necessarily. Most providers maintain active sessions for a set period unless you manually log out or clear app/browser data.
5. What if my organization changes SSO providers?
Contact your PhoneHQ administrator to re-link your account to the new provider.
